There are so many choices for Germany when it came to choosing a book for my reading challenge, but “All God’s Children” by Anna Schmidt caught my eye on the TBR pile. This novel tells the story of Beth, a German/American who has lived with her aunt and uncle in Munich as a nanny and housekeeper since the birth of her niece. I thought this was a charming story set during the Second World War and a lot lighter read than most novels set during this era. I would recommend it to someone who wants to read about WWII but doesn’t want a heavy read.
