The Latest

Welcome to week one of Battle Songs!  This is the new video series for the month of April and during these next few weeks, we’ll be doing something a little different – we’ll be taking a poll!  Here are the specifics: each Tuesday I’m going to select videos from YouTube of two different Southern Gospel Artists singing the same song.  I’ll then post them with a poll here for you to vote on.  (To avoid conflict of which video appears first, group names will be ordered alphabetically.)  🙂  I know there’s a lot of great talent out there and sometimes it will be hard to pick which one you prefer, so here are some things to base your vote on: Soundtracks? Arrangements?  Vocal styling?  Did the music build?  Was the arrangement too long, too short?  Don’t forget to drop a note in the comments and tell us what you liked about the groups version of the song you voted for!  The first song we’ll be voting on is “More Than Able” by Greater Vision and Tribute Quartet.

Greater Vision…

I gotta go with Tribute !

I voted for Tribute! They were both good, but I have to say I liked Tribute best. I liked Tribute’s music, and vocal arrangements better, and the fact that they put a lot more feeling into the song. I do like the live orchestra with GV, though. That was cool. 🙂

I thought they both did good, but I liked Tribute the best. I liked their vocal arrangements, style, and music better. I also have to agree with Carlie, I liked that they put more feeling in the song! 🙂
