A few days ago, the local paper printed this story about Dinosaur tracks being discovered in Arkansas. The subject of Dinosaurs have always been of great interest to me, and the announcement that tracks have been found so close to my home definitely caught my attention! Dinosaur tracks in Arkansas – how cool is that?!!!
There is only one problem with this little article. They dated these tracks at 120 million years old! Evolutionists would like to have us to think that Dinosaurs lived millions or billions of years ago and became extinct before humans lived. However, important archaeological finds and historical records have proven that this theory is simply not true!
One of the first things we need to establish, is that the word Dinosaur wasn’t invented until 1841! So what did they call these monsters before that time? – they called them Dragons. (That’s important to remember as you read the rest of this article!)
#1. How did people know what dinosaurs/dragons looked like if they had not seen a real, living one?
A simple question, I know, but one worthy of asking. People living in the ancient world didn’t perform archaeological digs that we do today to find fossils of these creatures. Yet, all over the ancient world we find paintings of dragons on pottery, cave walls and even on swords. So how did people thousands of years ago know what a dragon looked like if they went extinct millions of years before? Archaeologist discovered slate palettes from Heirakonpolis, showing the triumph of King Nar-mer (the first Pharaoh of a united Egypt) and on these palette’s were long neck dragons. Why would people put dragons on their pottery if they had not seen real ones? (See: Technology of the Gods by David Hatcher Childress, pg. 115)
#2. Did dinosaurs/dragons live with man?
In Marinus Willem’s book, The Dragons In China and Japan (1969) it is documented that the Emperor in the year 1611 appointed the post of Royal Dragon Feeder. Now one has to ask themselves…why would someone appoint a dragon feeder? – Because they were feeding dragons! The book even tells of Chinese families raising dragons in their houses (or maybe their backyard!) so they could use their blood for medicine. So we see that history records that dragons (or dinosaurs) lived with man in 1611! Marco Polo confirmed this on one of his trips to China in the 1600’s.
Another interesting fact concerning these mysterious dragons, is found in the Catholic Bible. In the Catholic Bible there are two extra chapters added to the book of Daniel. (I would like to note here, that I do not believe these extra chapters are divine and/or inspired by God…but they do make for interesting reading!) In this portion, the Babylonians were worshiping this dragon/dinosaur, lets see what is said of the matter…
22-“And there was a great dragon in that place, and the Babylonians worshiped him.
23-And the king said to Daniel: Behold thou canst not say now that this is not a living god: adore him therefore.
24-And Daniel said: I adore the Lord my God: for he is the living God: but that is no living god.
25-But give me leave, O king, and I will kill this dragon without sword or club. And the king said: I give thee leave.
26-Then Daniel took pitch, and fat, and hair, and boiled them together: and he made lumps, and put them into the dragons mouth, and the dragon burst asunder. And he said: Behold him whom you worshiped.”
This is yet another proof of the coexistence of man and dinosaurs. It’s also very interesting to take note of the fact that if you look at the city of ancient Babylon, paintings of dragons are found on the walls! So if the Babylonians were worshiping a dragon in Daniel’s day and there are found in the ruins of the ancient city of Babylon, paintings of dragons, it stands to reason that at one time there were dragons in Babylon!
Conclusion: As a Bible believing Christian I believe in the account of Genesis chapter one: God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day, everything was created by Him (including dinosaurs) and all these animals and mammals lived with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, and continued to live with man before and after the Flood. After the Flood the climate changed on earth causing the lifespan of the dragons to diminish – they didn‘t live as long or grew as big as they did before the flood. Humans also probably hunted and killed most of the dinosaurs making them extinct. Some believe that there may even be dinosaurs living today!
