GIVE-A-WAY: Hymns and Family

Categories: GIVE-A-WAYS,The Latest

Spring has finally made an appearance in Southern Missouri and I can’t express how wonderful it feels to be able to say, “It’s hotHymns-From-Home outside!”  Okay, so it may not be hot, but the warmth is a much welcomed change to the frigid temperatures we’ve experienced through the winter.  The weather has been quite different for everyone regardless of geographical location and I do hope spring has arrived wherever you are!

Easter is soon approaching and the CD that we’re giving away this month, the Collingsworth Family’s Hymns from Home, has some great hymns that talk about the crucifixion!  Classics like: In the Garden, At Calvary, Covered By the Blood, The Lord’s Prayer, Burdens are Lifted at Calvary and many more are great songs to remind us why we celebrate Easter!  A typical recording may have 10 or 12 tracks, but the Collingsworth Family outdid themselves with 18 memorable arrangements!  You’ll love the vocals, violins and piano featured on this hymns project.

This give-a-way will begin Friday April 4th through Saturday the 12th.  To enter for a chance to win, please leave a comment on this post.  The comment can be about anything you like (just as long as it is appropriate for this site) but if you can’t think of anything to say, why don’t you share what your favorite hymn is?

Valued at $15.00

The odds of winning vary depending on entries.

No purchase necessary!

RULES:

Wow! The Collingsworth Family! What a give away.

I love the hymn, “At Calvary”. I’ve especially hearing a clip on YouTube of the Collingsworth Family singing it at the NQC a few years back. Its one of my favorite old hymns and they do a masterful job singing it. I believe if all people who profess Christ would truely live out the last verse of the song, “Now I’ve given to Jesus everything, now I gladly own him as my king…”, the world would be a different place! Great song!

I would love to be entered! My little sister loves the Collingsworth family so it would make a great gift:) I have a hard time choosing a favorite hymn but some of them are When Peace Like A River, The Love of God, Blessed Assurance and How Great Thou Art. Thanks for the giveaway!

The Collingsworth Family is great! Pure, clean melodies and beautiful harmonies, combined with thrilling accompaniment! I love all the hymns mentioned, and I’m sure this CD will be a blessing to all who hear it. Thanks for the opportunity to win one for myself! 🙂

Hmm… favorite hymn? That’s going to be a REALLY tough one!! There are SO many!! I think I’m going to have to go with “Just As I Am”, though. I’m not one that gets ‘moved’ easily, but that song moves me every time we sing it at church.

I love what you and your family are doing to help so many southern gospel artists and groups! You all do so much behind the scenes that make a difference with so many lives. God Bless and I hope to see you all soon!

My favorite hymn would have to be either The Love of God or He Leadeth Me. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love the Collingsworth family. I love the families tight harmonies and Kim’s piano playing. I have lots of favorite hymns. One hymn that comes to mind is “What a friend we have in Jesus”

Wow! I loved reading everyone’s comments and what hymns are your favorites! As I was getting ready to share with you all what my favorite hymn is, there were many that popped into my mind saying, “Pick me! Pick me!” It really is hard to chose and sometimes different hymns mean more to someone at different times in life. But one that has always been a favorite for me is Be Thou My Vision – the lyrics are crafted beautifully and I love how some groups give the music a Celtic feel.

Well, we have a winner for Hymns from Home! Congratulations to…Velmarie! You won! I will have your prize in the mail as soon as possible and I hope you enjoy it.

I want to thank everyone who entered for your gracious comments and support! Our next give-a-way is scheduled for May 2nd – so mark your calender…you never know when your name will be drawn! 🙂

    God Bless,
    Lynn
