Hello everyone!  I just returned home from a GREAT week in Louisville, Kentucky at the National Quartet Convention, and now I’m “stocked up” and ready for the September give-a-way!  This give-a-way will be different than any other we’ve done so far this year.  I’m so excited!  One lucky winner will not receive just two, but FIVE prizes!  Anxious to see what they are?  Well, lets find out!…

Disclaimer:  The only items in this give-a-way are the ones listed below, any other products in this picture were used for decorative purposes only.  Thank you!

1   The NQC Souvenir Program Book – This will most definitely be a collectors item in the days to come!  It celebrates “20 Conventions in Louisville” and inside you will see adds from the your favorite artists, a special article that tells about the history of NQC in Louisville and many other neat things.

2 Through the Years – a solo CD from Scott Fowler highlighting great songs that he’s recorded in the past (from 1969-2003.)  Some examples are: He Made A Change, I Believe (many will remember that ballad penned by Roger Bennett) Champion of Love, etc.  (Total of 12 songs)

3 Live at the Oak Tree – this project from the Oak Tree series features Greater Vision and was released in 2009.  Earlier this year Gerald Wolfe announced that it will be discontinued, so if you don’t have this one in your collection, now is your chance to get it!  (Total of 13 songs plus two bonus features – also includes DVD!)

4   God’s Shelter For Your Storm by Sheila Walsh – A book of encouragement to help you through the storms of life.  Hardback from Thomas Nelson, 187 pages, written in English.

5 Daywind Tote Bag – last but not least!  This tote bag was bestowed upon me by a wonderful group and so I decided to get it signed and add it to this drawing as a special touch to Septembers give-a-way.  Unfortunately, with the schedule that I kept inside Freedom Hall, I didn’t get as many artists to sign it as I would have liked.  The ones that I did track down were the Mark Trammell Quartet and Greater Vision.  Nick Trammell was the first one to sign the bag and below his name he wrote “1st signature” to let everyone know!  LOL

This give-a-way will run from September 17th to September 27th, 2013.  The odds of winning vary depending on how many enter.

Here’s how you can enter:  Leave a comment on this post!  It’s that easy!  If you’re not sure what to write as a comment, why don’t you share if you have ever been to NQC before, and if so, when?  Can’t wait to hear from everyone!

All items come to a total value of $56

No purchase necessary!

RULES:
1)  Participants must 18 years of age to enter.
2)  The winner will be contacted by email and posted on the blog. Make sure you email is current!
3)  All comments go through moderation and will be posted in the order received.
4)  The winner has 24 hours to respond with their name and address once they have been contacted by email.  If there is no response in 24 hours, the second runner up will be notified.  Help me help you – be timely! 🙂
5)  I will announce the winner and second runner up on the post as a comment.
6) Have fun and be a good sport!

    Hi Lynn!

My NQC memories were forged in 1995. I travelled from New Zealand to fulfill the dream of being at an NQC. Had an awesome week. Loved the morning chapels featuring The Cathedrals, The Nelons, The Speers, Ivan Parker, Homeland Harmony Quartet and the Dixie Echoes. Was also great to be part of the Kingsmen 55th Anniversary concert (can even see myself on the video footage from the VHS!). Also to get to shake hands with George Younce and Glen Payne, to sit down and talk with Eldridge Fox and also the concerts from the main stage will be memories that I carry forever. It’s hard to believe that it will be nearly 20 years since I was there. God willing I can get to Pigeon Forge next year. We’ll see what happens!

    God bless,

    Graeme Newton

Wow! That sounded like a GREAT NQC! I could only imagine what it would have been like to attend those chapel services! Those must be some wonderful memories! I’m glad you were able to meet some of the legends like George, Glen and Eldridge while in Louisville. I never had the opportunity to meet them but always count it a blessing to hear from those who have! And to see yourself on the video footage! That’s so special! It’s amazing how quickly time flies by – I hope you can make it to Pigeon Forge next year!

      Blessings,
      Lynn

Oh wow, that is so cool. I envy you, me and my mom always wanted to go to NQC unfortunately she got sick and passed before we were able to do so. Since it is moving to pigeon forge I am hoping to get to go to my first one next year if The Lord tarries that is. Whoever wins will be getting a really neat prize! God bless

    • lynnschronicles Posted on September 18, 2013 at 5:09 pm

Hey Lisa! That would be so cool if you could make it to NQC next year! It is a week like no other and I just know you would love it!

      Blessings,
      Lynn

I would love to be entered into this giveaway! I have been blessed to be able to attend NQC several years now and there is nothing like it! Between being able to catch up with old friends and making new ones it is incredible. Thanks for the giveaway!

    • lynnschronicles Posted on September 18, 2013 at 5:13 pm

NQC is one of my favorite places to go for the same reasons you mentioned! It’s amazing to me how you can be there all week, see so many artists, catch up with friends and still feel like you missed saying hello to someone while you were there, ya’ know? 🙂 Do you think you will make it out to Pigeon Forge next year?

      God Bless,
      Lynn

      • Charity L. Posted on September 19, 2013 at 12:19 am

We are going next year and trying for the whole week if possible. It is farther away for us but we wouldn’t miss it. And I know what you mean:) Hard to tell everyone goodbye as well. But we found some new groups to listen to and enjoyed every bit of it.

  6. Nick Trammell Posted on September 17, 2013 at 11:08 pm

I don’t have any of these. Can I win?? Oh, and I’ve been to every NQC since 1984.

    • lynnschronicles Posted on September 18, 2013 at 11:04 pm

Yes, Nick! Of course an artist can have a chance to win too!

So far, from everyone who has entered this drawing, I believe you have been attending NQC the longest! Not trying to make you feel old or anything… 🙂 (Just teasing!)

      See you this weekend!
      Lynn

  7. Justin Posted on September 17, 2013 at 11:58 pm

I’ve actually never been to NQC, but I’ve always wanted to go! Hopefully, with Pigeon Forge being somewhat closer than Louisville, I’ll be able to at some point! Thanks for the giveaway; really hoping I’ll win!

    • lynnschronicles Posted on September 18, 2013 at 11:10 pm

Thanks for stopping by Justin! I hope you have the opportunity to go to NQC sometime when it moves to Pigeon Forge, you would enjoy it – it’s like “Gospel Music Heaven!”

      God Bless,
      Lynn

My husband & I attended NQC 2006 thru 2009. It was a big highlight in our lives! We felt the sweet holy spirit’s presence in the room during all the concerts.

    • lynnschronicles Posted on September 18, 2013 at 11:15 pm

Hello Beverly! Isn’t NQC wonderful? My first convention was in 2007 and I have so many wonderful memories from that first year! Yes, the Spirit was with every group that walked on stage – I still remember Greater Vision singing on Monday night (back in 2007 on main stage) and began with songs from their “Hymns of the Ages” CD they just released. Before we knew it Gerald had the audience singing Blessed Assurance – it was such an awesome experience! Thanks for sharing and entering the give-a-way!

      Blessings,
      Lynn
