It’s finally here!  I have to admit, this give-a-way took a little longer to put together than planned.  Usually, this post is up the first CD400_out Friday of every month…not the second!  But I hope you understand, I spent the 4th of July weekend in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on a little vacation and the hotel I stayed at didn’t have internet in the rooms.  Well, they did.  You just had to pay handsomely for it!  Besides, while staying in Gatlinburg I had to hunt down another item to add to this drawing, do you want to hear what it is?

This month, one lucky winner will win a book AND a CD!

The CD is a hymns project from the Browns (a family group from Iowa) and it’s brand new!  Just been released!  You’ll hear hymns like He Lives, Be Thou My Vision, O For A Thousand Tongues and more!  (13 songs in all.)  If you’re not familiar with the Browns, I assure you, they are great vocalist!  Not only that, you’ll hear them play some beautiful violin on this recording as well.

IMG_0888The other prize is a Christian “Amish” Fiction novel from Kathleen Fuller titled, A Hand To Hold.  It’s 268 pages, from Thomas Nelson (publishing) and written in English (of course!).  The story line from the back cover reads like this…

“The pickup truck that crashed into Ruth Byler’s Amish schoolhouse destroyed half her supplies and all her careful planning.
Notoriously unreliable Zachariah Bender drove the offending truck.  He’s promised to repair the damage, which means he’ll be around for weeks.  Though Ruth would like to do things herself, she must rely on Zach’s help if she wants to realize her dream of teaching the Amish community’s children.
Determined to prove to himself and his father that he can change his ways, Zach commits to fixing up the schoolhouse.  If only Ruth Byler wasn’t forever looking over his shoulder.  And challenging his thinking.
They have almost nothing in common, but Ruth and Zach are about to realize how much they need each other.  And that God offers plenty of second chances in life if you’re willing to open your eyes and hold out your hand.”

Together, these two prizes are valued at $30.

No purchase necessary!

Here’s how you can enter:  Leave a comment on this post!  It’s that easy!  While you’re at it, why don’t you tell me what item you’re most interested in: the book or the CD.

The give-a-way will run from July 12 -29 and the winner will be drawn Monday the 29th!  The odds of winning vary depending on how many enter.

1)  Participants must 18 years of age to enter.
2)  The winner will be contacted by email and posted on the blog. Make sure you email is current!
3)  All comments go through moderation and will be posted in the order received.
4)  The winner has 24 hours to respond with their name and address once they have been contacted by email.  If there is no response in 24 hours, the second runner up will be notified.  Help me help you – be timely! 🙂
5)  I will announce the winner and second runner up on the post as a comment.
6) Have fun and be a good sport!

And our winner is…Shelby! Congratulations Shelby!
Now, Shelby decided that she only wanted the CD and so I drew another winner for the book, our “second” winner is Joy D.
