This is the third book in the Barton Family Adventure Series and after reading all four books, this one was my favorite! When the Barton’s go to Jamaica to help another missionary family, Nat and Ruth hit it off with the missionaries son, who gives them a tour of the island and lands them in the middle of a treasure hunt theft.

If you like an adventure that’s short, yet, has the feel of a full length novel, this is it! You get a taste of the Jamaican culture, a little history of Blackbeard’s wild pirating and a fun modern day treasure hunt all wrapped up in this short story. I really enjoyed this installment in the Barton Family Adventure Series and would recommend it to anyone who has kids that are into pirates, modern day treasure hunting and adventure. Of course, it also makes a great short read for adults as well!
