Michael Camp
I’m afraid it’s not Michael…but keep guessing!
I think this will be a tough one, so dig deep! 🙂
Garry Jones
Another good guess, but it’s not Garry . . . dig into the history – it’s out there! 🙂
~ Lynn
Mike Lefevre
I’m sure Mike sang with Brian when he started his trio, but he didn’t play piano for him when he went solo…but you’re in the right time frame! You’re giving some very good guesses!
~Lynn
Jon McBroom
Thanks for being such a good sport – but I’m afraid it’s not Jon either. 🙁
Looks like I finally have a stumper of a question! The funny thing is, every time I ask a group for a trivia question – they assure me that they have this juicy tid-bit of info that NO ONE will know, then, it ends up being really easy! I guess BFA gave me one that really did get ya’ll thinking! Keep guessing!
Pam Free Brian’s wife.
What a sweet thought! I can assure you that the player is a guy.
I don’t know much about this person to give you any clues! Let’s see if this will help out…
HINT: Our “mystery pianist” shares the same first name as another well-known tenor from Gold City.
Josh Simpson?
You’re getting warmer! Our “mystery pianist” first name does begin with a “J” – but it’s not Josh.
~Lynn
Well I have done all the research I can and cannot find an answer. Thanks for the clues but I couldn’t find any Jay’s or Joshua piano players.
Well, I guess when Bryce said that this would be a really, really hard one, he was right! Funny thing is, Brian even told him not to give me something no one would know – so it must be out there somewhere! 🙂
I tried doing some research also, so I could give some better hints, and I couldn’t find anything on the guy either…so don’t feel bad!
You’ve been very diligent with guessing and a good sport – Someone out there has to remember when Brian started his solo career and who played piano for him.
Ask around and see if you can come up with a name.
Jeff Staton 😀
I’m afraid it’s not Jeff…check out my comment below for a hint. (I think it will help)!
How about John Reinhart Jr.?
Hey Josh – thanks for dropping in and giving the trivia a try! Appreciate your participation! Sorry it’s not John…see my post below for a hint.
Here is a hint for you guys! Our mystery pianist’s first name is “Jay.”
So, all you guys have to do is come up with a last name!
Hope this breaks it open for ya’ll! 🙂
~Lynn
P.S. Thanks for everyone’s participation – I know this is a obecure one, but when you find out the answer, you will have a little known fact from Brian Free’s past – keep working at it!
We have a WINNER!
I know I said Jeff Stanton wasn’t the answer, but … it is the answer!!! :-S
Silly me! I had the name of the second piano player! Had to contact Brian to clear up the matter. When I saw BFA in Metropolis, Brian called Bryce over to help brainstorm for a good trivia question. The question he gave me was, “Who was Brian’s first piano player when he went into his solo ministry?” – The answer Bryce gave me was Jay Storie. Unfortunately, Jay was the second piano player! Funny thing is, Brian was standing right there. Oh well, these things happen. 🙂
Thank you Bill, for being patient while I cleared up my little blunder.
The correct answer is Jeff Stanton!
Now we all have a little known fact from Brian Free’s past. 🙂
